Sberbank IFRS net profit doubles to 630 bln rbl in January–June

MOSCOW, Jul 29 (PRIME) -- The net profit of Russia’s biggest lender Sberbank more than doubled on the year to 629.8 billion rubles in January–June, as calculated under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), the bank said on Thursday.

In April–June, the net profit grew to 325.3 billion rubles from 166.7 billion rubles in the same period of 2020.

Retail lending rose 11.2% in January–June to 10.354 trillion rubles as of June 30, while corporate lending increased 1% to 15.856 trillion rubles.

Retail deposits grew 1.9% in January–June to 16.964 trillion rubles as of June 30 and corporate deposits rose 19.4% to 10.892 trillion rubles.

Spending on reserves declined 80% in April–June to 27.2 billion rubles.
